Jim McGuinness

Jim joined LT McGuinness in 1963 to work with his father, Lawrence, and qualified as a tradesman carpenter. He has a great practical approach to construction that he has passed on to many apprentices. He manages several key building projects.

Brian McGuinness

John Malthus

Contracts Manager

A senior company member, John is a qualified quantity surveyor who has managed many of the company’s largest projects. He has a wealth of experience in the restoration and refurbishment of heritage buildings and offers solid advice on detailing, waterproofing and value engineering. John managed the Premier House project and is currently managing the Government House project, 'completing the double' by leading two of New Zealand’s most significant restorations.

Dion Russell

Dion started with LT McGuinness as a building apprentice 25 years ago. He is now an outstanding site manager who leads from the front. Dion has technical expertise in all areas of construction and a great knowledge of heritage buildings and structural strengthening.

Dave Grindell

Interiors Site Manager

Dave has completed some of our most demanding high quality fit-outs. He usually has the project worked out in his head before most others have understood the plans. Dave’s recent fit-outs include Semple House Apartments, LTNZ, P&O, NZX, Transpower House, Maxam Apartments, Black Harp and the Brewery bar in Shed 22.

Dan McGuinness

Quantity Surveyor - Site Manager

Dan is a qualified quantity surveyor with a Bachelor of Construction degree from Massey University. He was the Site Manager on major projects such as Transpower House, Chews Lane and the Odlins Building redevelopment. Dan chairs the Wellington branch of the NZ Institute of Quantity Surveyors.

Kerrin Manuel

With a New Zealand Certificate in Engineering behind him, Kerrin has significant experience in managing medium to large-scale jobs such as Semple House in Oriental Bay and Transpower House. He was the lead Site Manager in the $100 million Chews Lane refurbishment project.

Bill Manuel
